ROUTINE provides AI-powered fitness planning and workout tracking. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who helps us operate the service, and the choices you have about your data.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Your account details, such as email address, user ID, and authentication data.
- Your fitness profile, including name, age, height, weight, body metrics, questionnaire responses, goals, equipment, fitness level, training days, injury or constraint notes, and other notes you provide.
- Your workout activity, including workout logs, exercise logs, and plan history.
- Your AI-generated plans, recommendations, clarification messages, feedback messages, and related AI prompt inputs.
- Device and app usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, and product analytics events.
- Subscription and purchase status information provided by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
How We Use Your Information
- To create, save, and deliver personalized workout plans.
- To track workouts, progress, and subscription entitlements.
- To support customer service, account security, and troubleshooting.
- To monitor usage, improve product quality, and understand app performance.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
AI Processing
ROUTINE uses OpenAI to help generate and refine workout plans based on the information you provide. This means portions of your fitness profile, questionnaire responses, goals, injury or constraint notes, workout history summaries, and related planning context may be sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI processes this information as our service provider to deliver AI features. We do not use AI outputs as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Where Your Data Is Stored
We store app data using Supabase-backed infrastructure, including Postgres databases and related storage services. Depending on the feature, your information may also be processed or stored by trusted service providers that help us run ROUTINE.
Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party providers to operate the app, including:
- OpenAI for AI-assisted workout plan generation and refinement.
- Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend infrastructure.
- RevenueCat for subscription management and purchase status.
- Mixpanel for product analytics when enabled in a given build.
- Expo and related platform services for app delivery and diagnostics.
- Apple and Google for billing, app distribution, and account platform services.
Tracking and Analytics
We use Mixpanel, when configured, to understand feature usage and improve ROUTINE. Analytics events may include user ID, platform, subscription tier, onboarding step names, workout metadata, and similar product interaction data. We do not intentionally send free-form injury notes, passwords, or message content to analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, you may have the right to request access to your data, correction, deletion, portability or export, and restriction or objection to certain processing.
You can delete your ROUTINE account in the app from Profile > Delete Account. Deleting your ROUTINE account does not cancel an active Apple or Google subscription; manage billing through the platform where you subscribed. You may also contact us for help at support@btfappdev.com.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. We may delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.
